When you’re heading out with kids, especially to dine at a restaurant, there’s a lot to consider. Will they be comfortable? Is there a kid-friendly menu? Will they actually enjoy the experience? The checklist feels endless. So, when a parent finds a place that ticks all these boxes, they’re more than happy to share recommendations with other parents, and that’s exactly what this Bengaluru mom did.
Bengaluru Mom Lauds Phurr For Being Truly Kid-Friendly
Bengaluru-based Geetha Shree Nagaraaj took to Instagram to give a special shoutout to Phurr, not just for its food, but also for its courteous staff and thoughtful, kid-friendly approach. She praised the restaurant for providing high chairs and wooden cutlery, without asking, and for having attentive staff who ensured she knew exactly what her toddler could comfortably eat and which dishes might be too spicy.
“As soon as we entered, the staff was so welcoming, and the first thing they did was get a high chair for my toddler. Wow! We didn’t have to ask! There are restaurants that don’t even keep high chairs for kids. When we were deciding what to order, they thoughtfully told me, ‘Ma’am, this might be spicy; this would be better for you. For your child, we suggest this; it has mild spice, it’s tasty and crispy, and we think she might like it.’ That was so nice. They even involved her in the decision-making process,” she shared in the Instagram post.

Simple Touches That Can Truly Make Eateries Family-Friendly
Coming to the best part—they even had kid-friendly plates! Sharing videos from Phurr, Geetha Shree Nagaraaj showed her toddler seated in a high chair, eating from an owl-shaped wooden plate with a matching wooden spoon, allowing her to eat comfortably and safely. “Do you have any idea how thoughtful that is? How well-planned? How considerate towards customers?” she asked in the video.
She added that many restaurants use heavy ceramic plates and cutlery, which most parents are wary of giving to young children. Kids can be unpredictable, she pointed out, they might suddenly throw a plate or spoon, which can be both messy and scary.
At Phurr, however, Geetha said she enjoyed a “very peaceful dinner.” She added that if more restaurants adopted such thoughtful practices, it would make dining out far more convenient for parents like her.
