In its continuous efforts to make train journeys more memorable, Indian Railways is introducing various new initiatives. Recently, the Indian Railways launched the Super App ‘RailOne’. Now, to make sure that passengers aren’t bored during the journey, they have added a free OTT entertainment feature to it. Indian Railways Launched Super App ‘RailOne’
According to The Indian Express, on July 1, 2025, Indian Railways launched Super App ‘RailOne’. The app has a simple and user-friendly interface that integrates all the passenger services offered by Railways under one app. From unreserved UTS tickets, checking PNR, live train tracking to e-catering, ticket booking, and Rail Madad–all the services are now under one app. And now, to make sure no one gets bored during the entire journey, this app offers free access to movies, games, documentaries, web shows, and more.
This application offers shows via the WAVES OTT platform, which was introduced back in November 2024. This app features content in over 10 languages with live TV, on-demand videos, audio, games, and e-commerce. This platform collaborates with content creators, regional broadcasters, and cultural institutions to give the Indian audience access to a variety of shows.
How To Watch Movies, Series On RailOne App
The Indian Express has mentioned that RailOne is developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS). It supports both RailConnect and UTS credentials. This new app offers all rail services under one roof. If you’re considering the IRCTC app for both reserved and unreserved train tickets, you can also try the same on this new application as it is completely safe to use.
Now, if you want to access movies, shows, and series on the RailOne App, follow the guidelines below —
- Use mPin or biometric to log in to the RailOne app.
- Go to the ‘More Offerings’ section and click on ‘Go To Waves’.
- A new page will open where you can enjoy free movies, shows, documentaries, and more.
The Railways decided to launch this app to improve navigation in its official platform, make travel technology easier to understand for passengers, and help them travel faster and more comfortably.
