Their shared Punjabi heritage brought a playful twist to the conversation. “British-born,” she laughed, adding that they are BBCD or British-born, confused desis.

When Geeta dropped the term BBCD-British-born, confused desis – she laughed like she’d just revealed a secret only she and Raj truly understood. It was witty, funny, and somehow completely accurate.

But then her eyes softened, and the conversation tilted. She spoke about building her life without a godfather or without someone holding a map for her. Every choice, every opportunity, every tiny win came from her own reckoning. “When you’re young, you are just so ambitious and you want to do everything to turn your dreams into reality,” she said, with a grin that carried both mischief and humility.
