‘Mujhe Bas Bolna Tha Kisi Topic Pe,’ Says Lakshay Chaudhary About Starting His YouTube Channel

When Curly Tales rolled into Noida for its much-loved series Tere Gully Mein, the cameras captured Lakshay Chaudhary’s candidness and enthusiasm. Over what? Over a plate of steaming idlis, the crunch of dosas, the earthy kick of matcha and more! And, of course, the street food vibes of Noida added their own magic to the experience.

This Is How Lakshay Chaudhary Became A Youtuber

Lakshay Chaudhary didn’t step into the digital world with a blueprint. His journey began with a pause from college. It was due to a stretch of unplanned free time and a feed filled with videos from Bhuvan Bam and Harsh Beniwal. “Tab inki videos chalti thi,” we add to Lakshay’s nostalgia-filled inspirational story. That spark pushed him to film sketches at home, which were raw and uncertain, but enough to test the waters.

He was soon back on campus, and reality set in! He no longer had people to participate in his sketches. Out of that gap came roast videos, a pivot that wasn’t calculated at all.

What began as a stopgap soon became his signature style, pulling in thousands of viewers and gradually carving his place in the crowded world of YouTube. Reflecting on that period, he admits with candour that the “views ka chaska” became a motivating force. It was an addictive validation that pushed him to create more, experiment further, and treat content as both passion and discipline.

His Journey, Parents’ Reactions & More

The interview also touched on a quieter and more personal layer: family. Where audiences often see applause, parents usually look for proof.  In his telling, winning over family wasn’t separate from the creative process; it was just another challenge. He mentioned how his parents would get happy at the mention of his video by someone else. “Parents ko inhi cheezon se validation milta hai,” Lakshay explained.

From those first tentative sketches in a cramped room to roast videos that pulled in thousands of viewers, Lakshay’s trajectory mirrors the creator culture itself: unpredictable, experimental, and deeply personal. His stop on Tere Gully Mein wasn’t yet another food-meets-conversation episode; it was a glimpse into how curiosity and small risks can build a career from scratch.
