India’s First Indoor Ski Park To Come Up In Himachal Pradesh’s Kufri At ₹250 Crores

India’s first-ever indoor ski resort will soon come up in Kufri. With the aim of transforming Himachal Pradesh into a favourite tourist destination in India, tourists can expect top class amenities here. This ₹250 crore project will boost adventure sports tourism in Himachal Pradesh. Read on to know more.

Kufri In Himachal Pradesh To Get India’s First Indoor Ski Park

Kufri in Shimla will soon house the country’s first indoor ski park. The Himachal Pradesh government and Nagsons Developers signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop this ski park amidst Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on January 7. The Chief Minister announced that the state government will extend support to develop India’s first indoor ski park in the state. According to the Statesman, he revealed: “The state government is serious for making Himachal Pradesh one of the best tourist destinations across India and would go to any extent in making the state more tourists friendly by providing them with world-class amenities.”

Indoor Ski Park To Include 5-Star Hotel, Amusement Park Other Facilities Costing ₹250 Crores

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur further added “The project would also generate employment avenues for about 1000 persons. The total cost of the project coming up in 5.04 acres in Kufri is ₹250 crores which included indoor ski park, palatial mall, five-star hotel, amusement park, gaming zone and food court, shopping arcade and other amenities and would have a parking facility for more than 1000 vehicles.”This indoor ski park shall not only increase tourists in Himachal Pradesh but also boost adventure sports around the year in Kufri.

The construction work for this larger than life ski park will commence in March 2021. And it will become functional by April 2022 as per owner of Nagsons Developers, Nishant Nag. After all, Infinity Design Studio Mumbai will design this ski park. And Netherlands’ Unlimited Snow shall execute this project as they did for Ski Dubai and Ski Egypt. So, expect the best. For the time being, plan a trip to Himachal Pradesh and do visit these places.
