PM Modi will be launching India’s first smart and green expressway this month in the capital city that will divert at least 2 lakh vehicles off the city. 

What Is It?

Are you sick of the traffic in Delhi? So are we! But lets take a breath of relief as PM Modi will be launching the country’s first smart and green expressway this month to de-congest the city’s road and divert at least 2 lakh vehicles daily! 

This roadway will be called the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and it has been built to be a environment-friendly expressway that will be the country’s answer to pollution problems.

What Do We Know?

The Eastern Peripheral Expressway will be a six-lane expressway and it will be a 135 km drive with a traffic management system Over Speed Checking System, Variable Message Signs (VMS) CCTV, Weigh-in-Motion, Pavement Management Systems, Fiber Optic Network, and Video Incident Detection System. Along with this a closed tolling system will be installed that will initiate an easy fee collection from the public.
