InterGlobe Aviation Limited, popularly known as IndiGo Airline bagged the Global Industry Excellence WFM 2024 Award. IndiGo won the award for “Outstanding Workforce Management Practices” with the help of GWFM, the biggest WFM network in the world.

The award was received by Sanjeev Ramdas (EVP-AOCS), Varun Dwivedi (VP-AOCS), Arvind Bhandari (VP-AOCS), and Sushil Kumar (Director-Resource Planning-AOCS) for their extraordinary leadership in workforce management (WFM). AOCS is the airport operations control staff at IndiGo.
IndiGo has implemented the INFORM system and AOCS Command Centre, an innovative solution introduced in aviation ground operations that has revolutionised staff mobility, ensuring the correct timing for everything from people to place to time.

IndiGo was founded by Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal in 2006 as a private company, while IndiGo’s promoter and managing director is Rahul Bhatia. IndiGo is based out in Haryana’s Gurgaon (now Gurugram) and is a low-cost airline. However, in terms of the fleet and its passengers, IndiGo is the biggest airline in India. IndiGo holds 62% of the domestic market share as of August 2024.
Moreover, IndiGo is the third-largest airline in Asia (in terms of passengers carried) and one of the world’s largest. In 2023, IndiGo has also carried more than 100 million passengers. The airline currently operates over 382 aircraft fleets.
