An IndiGo Goa-Mumbai Flight returned when a snag was detected as the plane was taxiing out at around 1:27 pm Tuesday. According to officials, the right engine of the IndiGo Airbus (VT-IZR) operating 6E 6097 from Goa to Mumbai developed a snag while proceeding to the runway. Goa airport director S V T Dhananjaya Rao later revealed to PTI that the aircraft had 187 passengers, including four infants, on board and all of them had been disembarked safely by the rescue teams of the Indian Navy.

According to Officials, the snag led to a Navy team being called in, in order to rescue the 187 passengers.” All the passengers were disembarked safely by the rescue teams of the Indian Navy,” airport director S V T Dhananjaya Rao revealed. PTI reports further mentioned sources revealing that the IndiGo Goa-Mumbai flight had to be pushed back from Bay number nine. Prior to this incident, a Delhi to Kolkata IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Kolkata a few days back, due to a false smoke alarm in the cargo area. Looks like the airline is facing persistent glitches when it comes to the flights.
