IndiGo Named World’s 3rd Best Low-Cost Airlines At 2025 Skytrax Awards; Full List Inside

Skytrax’s World Best Airlines Awards 2025 were held on June 17 at the Air and Space Museum of Le Bourget Airport in Paris, France. Also called the ‘the Oscars of the aviation industry’, Skytrax announced some of the best airlines across various categories during the award ceremony. Qatar Airways was named the World’s Best Airline and IndiGo was placed in third place in the ‘World’s Best Low-Cost Airlines 2025’ category.

Major Indian airlines IndiGo and Air India were ranked first and second, respectively, in the Best Airline in South Asia for 2025. Meanwhile, Air India Express emerged as the Best Regional Airline in South Asia for 2025. In broader categories, IndiGo managed to get third place under the World’s Best Low-Cost Airlines 2025 category.

Based on millions of passenger reviews, Skytrax named Doha-based Qatar Airways as the World’s Best Airline, for the second consecutive year. The airline bagged the top spot under the Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class, and World’s Best Inflight Entertainment categories as well.

Following close behind, five-time title holder Singapore Airlines maintained its position for the second year in a row. The airline was also honoured with the World’s Best Cabin Crew, the World’s Best First Class, and one of the Best Airlines in Asia awards.
