Recently, in a sweet incident, an IndiGo pilot gave a really heartwarming shout-out to a Param Vir Chakra awardee who was present on the flight. And of course, all the Netizens were here for it!
IndiGo Pilot Gives A Shout-Out To A Param Vir Chakra Awardee
This particular incident warmed the hearts of many Netizens. A pilot from an IndiGo flight headed to Pune made a special announcement in the plane acknowledging an important person on the flight. This important person was Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar.
Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar is a Param Vir Chakra Awardee. To put into context why it is so important an accomplishment, the honour of Param Vir Chakra has only been awarded to a total of 21 people in the history of India.
According to what the pilot said, it is the highest honour that a soldier or a military personnel can get and it is awarded for showcasing exceptional bravery during wartime. While regaling the passengers with snippets of his bravery, the pilot revealed that Major Kumar demonstrated exceptional feats of bravery during the Kargil War.

The pilot even mentions that Major Kumar has taken bullets to the chest during the Kargil war which left the Internet stunned. Many people reacted to the video and stated that the pilot did the right thing by highlighting the accomplishments of this brave soldier.
People even thanked the pilot as well as Major Kumar. It seemed that the gesture of giving a shout-out to the accomplishments of this gentleman struck a chord with people.
In addition to Major Kumar, the Param Vir Chakra has been awarded to Somnath Sharma, Jadunath Singh, Abdul Hamid, Ardeshir Tarapore, Albert Ekka, and 15 other soldiers for demonstration of exceptional bravery in wartime.
