IndiGo is expanding its routes and providing flight service to every city in India. After deciding to launch two flights from Ahmedabad, they are planning on taking on more routes. Recently, IndiGo announced that they will start direct flights from Salem In Tamil Nadu to these three cities; details here.
IndiGo To Start Direct Flights From Salem In Tamil Nadu!
Later this month, IndiGo announced that it would expand its network by adding three additional direct flights to and from Salem, Tamil Nadu. On October 29, the airline will start operating direct flights from Salem to Chennai. And on October 30, it will do the same for Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Salem is currently proudly ranked 114th overall and 82nd domestically in the 6E network. According to IndiGo, these additional connections would greatly improve regional accessibility and interstate connectivity, which is in line with the goals of the regional connectivity strategy. According to Vinay Malhotra, IndiGo’s Head of Global Sales, they are overjoyed to announce these new connections between Salem and Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. These direct routes not only offer practical and affordable travel options between these destinations, but they also drastically cut down on travel time.

He further stated that they are dedicated to keeping their pledge to deliver inexpensive, on-time, polite, and hassle-free travel experiences across their vast network as they take to the skies to link people with their favourite locations.
Other Destinations To Receive This Service
On October 10, the airline started a direct flight service from Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh to Varanasi and Delhi. These flights would probably see a lot of demand because, especially in the winter, both Khajuraho and Varanasi draw a sizeable number of domestic and foreign tourists for their historic temples.
According to Vinay Malhotra, they were excited to start operations to and from Madhya Pradesh’s Khajuraho. By linking Khajuraho, these new routes improve accessibility and interstate connectivity even more.
Other than this, they are starting two flights from Ahmedabad—one to Jaisalmer and the other to Agra.
