Film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh first took to Facebook to share pictures of the Kanpur’s Heer Palace which is back in a whole new swanky avatar. He supplemented the pictures with a caption, where he revealed that Heer Palace used to be a single-screen theatre in Kanpur. Ajay Devgn’s NY Cinemas has converted it into a 3-screen multiplex. NY Cinemas is on an expansion spree and looks like this palatial theatre was the latest, part of its project.
Moreover, Taran Adarsh goes on to add that the luxurious Heer Palace is split into two levels. Each level has a seating capacity of 700. When it comes to NY Cinemas, it is currently operational in 11 cities. In the pictures, you can see the decor is truly state of the art and the theatres have comfy glossy orange-hued seats. The last row has black sofas. The walls have signature paisley art or Indian mango designs on them. There are 3D screens and Dolby Atmos speakers at this lavish theatre.
