The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has established an executive lounge at the Varanasi train station in an effort to provide travellers with a better travel experience. The Ministry Of Railways shared a few pics of what it is like inside this plush lounge. According to the tweet, the lounge is equipped with a large waiting area, delectable food court, plush seating and more!
The “state of the art” executive lounge strives to offer all the amenities and services needed to make waiting times as comfortable as possible. For a small entrance fee of ₹85 plus taxes for the first hour and ₹60 plus taxes for each additional hour, travellers have access to the lounge.

Passengers can enjoy several amenities in the lounge, including channel music, Wi-Fi, TV, a display showing train information, and armchairs, roomy luggage racks. There are also hot and cold beverages, multi-cuisine buffets, and restrooms with wash and change areas. Additionally, periodicals and newspapers are maintained on display. The lounge also has a fully functional business centre with a computer, printer, Photostat, and fax machine.
According to IRCTC, the existence of a focal element is significantly established when the bustle of the platform gives way to the lounge. As part of the design highlighting Varanasi’s art and craft culture, a gift shop is also included.
Moreover, the entry fee will cover a variety of amenities, including comfy seating areas, Wi-Fi internet access, retail sales of books and periodicals, free tea, coffee, and refreshing refreshments.
So, if you are waiting at the Varanasi Railway Station, head to the Executive Lounge while your train arrives!
