How many times have you encountered the problem of lack of exact change when your Zomato order arrives? If you’re especially unlucky, even the delivery partner will not have the exact change. However, Zomato, inspired by BigBasket, has come up with an innovative new solution to this problem. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this new feature that Zomato has come up with to solve your chhutta woes.
Inspired By BigBasket, Zomato Launches New COD Feature
For cash on delivery orders, finding exact change can sometimes be inconvenient. Starting today, our customers can pay delivery partners in cash, and ask for the balance amount to be added instantly to their Zomato Money account. This balance can be used towards future delivery… pic.twitter.com/X7HcGQZird

According to a post which was recently made by the Chief Executive Officer or CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, on X (formerly known as Twitter), this feature is inspired by BigBasket. BigBasket is an online grocery store in India.
The new feature is for Cash on Delivery or COD orders. If, in the event that neither you nor the delivery partner happens to have change for your order, then the delivery partner can return the money online to your Zomato wallet. Users can in turn use the wallet money to pay for future orders or dineout.
This will streamline payment processes and will ensure smooth delivery for partners and users alike. This means that you will no longer have to worry about tendering exact changes for your Zomato orders.
Say Bye-Bye To Chhutte Ki Chhik-Chhik!
Respect for acknowledging Bigbasket. We don’t see this enough in our ecosystem :)

The fact that Goyal credited the employees and also BigBasket for the idea won him a lot of praise. Some even enquired if the feature will soon come to BlinkIt as well. The new feature highlights the food delivery company’s commitment to customer satisfaction.
