Pune Airport Lounge Is Accessible To Domestic Passengers Only
A Twitter user named Shamshuddin S Kazi. (@sskazikazi) took to the microblogging site to share his experiences of not being able to get access to the lounge. He tagged Pune Airport, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, PMO India, and Dr. Sudhir Mehta while addressing the concern through his tweet.

Shamshuddin S Kazi shared in his tweet that international passengers don’t have access to the lounge. He was surprised to see the access is just for passengers flying within the country. He was on his way to catch a flight to Dubai.
Many passengers have raised the issue and reported this to the Airport Authority of India, according to a report by the Hindustan Times.

Here’s The Reason Behind International Passengers Not Being Able To Access The Lounge
We have noted your feedback and regret the inconvenience caused. Please note that this is an interim arrangement and we shall soon be moving all International flights to the New Terminal building which will have a full fledged SHA with Lounge access.

Pune Airport has responded to the tweet stating that this is just an interim arrangement. There are processes going on to move all the international flights to the New Terminal building soon. And with this shift, there will be a full-fledged Security Hold Area with proper lounge access.
Passengers can fly to three international destinations from the Pune International Airport. There is international air connectivity with Bangkok, Dubai, and Singapore. The tourist footfall is huge here and every day so many passengers catch a flight from here to reach their overseas places. Unfortunately, not all passengers will be able to enjoy the luxury of the lounge at the airport. The lounge here is open for only domestic flyers at the present moment. With all the international flights shifting to the new terminal building, things will start functioning like before.
