Internet Divided Over Baseball Player’s Complaint About Airlines; What Is Your Stance?

It is a popular notion that when people become rich, they also become extremely entitled and treat other people monstrously. There might be a little shred of exaggeration in the treating other people badly part, but entitlement is something that is often found in rich and famous people. Recently, a famous baseball player took to Twitter to complain about something that he deemed unjust. However, the Internet was quick to point out his entitlement.

Baseball Player Roasted For Making An Entitled Complain

This particular baseball player, Anthony Bass, took the micro-blogging website and complained about how his pregnant wife had to clean up after their daughter. According to him, the flight attendant on the plane refused to clean up the popcorn mess made by his daughter who is 2 years old.

Since the flight attendant refused to pick up the mess, Bass’s wife, who was 22 weeks pregnant, had to get on her knees and clean up the mess made by the daughter. This upset the baseball player and made him rant about it on Twitter.

According to his tweet, this took place on a flight by United Airlines. If he was hoping to get some sympathy for his situation, it was far from what he got. Many people were quick to point out how it is always the parents’ responsibility to clean up after their young child.

Internet Criticises Bass’s Tweet

Understandably, many were upset, but not, as the baseball player would’ve hoped, at the flight attendant. The Tweeple showed solidarity with the flight attendant and even applauded their courage to say no to being asked to do a chore that wasn’t a part of their job.

People criticised Bass saying that expecting flight attendants to slave after his young kids is really entitled behaviour. Some even questioned that, if Bass was so concerned about his pregnant wife getting on her knees, why didn’t he himself pick the scattered popcorn up?

However, it might be possible that the Bass wasn’t on the plane with his wife. The Twitter handle of United Airlines responded to the thread and soon after, Bass tweeted that the matter has been resolved.
