Jaideep Ahlawat told Kunal Vijayakar that he’d often have bajre ki roti, missi roti or change ki roti for breakfast. The rotis would be topped with butter, paired with chutney and washed down with a big glass of lassi. After breakfast, the next big meal would be dinner. While lunch was prepared at his home, it was solely a meal meant to satiate anyone who was still hungry. Not a course in itself.
The Pataal Lok star remembers a time when he’d down at least 40 rotis in a day but didn’t gain any weight. In fact, till 2008, Ahlawat recalls weighing just 70 kg as he kept burning everything he consumed. For the Haryana man, milk was a staple. Growing up in his village, he’d down at least 500 ml of milk straight out of a jug or lota, thrice a day. They weren’t allowed to have milk from a glass. Rather, a big lota or jug was approved.
