An LPG tanker truck crashed into multiple vehicles on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on December 20. The collision left a trail of destruction behind and claimed at least 11 lives. More than 35 people are critically injured as well. Several videos and photos surfacing online show fire engulfing the premises within seconds and massive flames emerging from the tanker.

On Friday morning, a gas tanker collided with multiple vehicles and turned the Jaipur-Ajmer highway into an inferno. According to NDTV, CCTV footage around the accident site shows fire engulfing a property minutes after the crash. Visuals surfacing online show smoke-filled roads followed by a massive blast and fire.

As per the latest report, the fire caused by the collision has claimed 11 lives so far. Furthermore, more than 35 people were rushed to the nearby hospitals for immediate medical assistance. Ambulances and fire department vehicles were soon spotted at the accident site that damaged at least 30 vehicles. The incident, reportedly, happened near a petrol pump.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar visited the SMS Hospital, where the injured were admitted. They spoke to the administration of the hospital and directed them to ensure proper treatment of all the injured people.

300-Metre-Long Stretch Of The Highway Affected After The Accident

Eyewitnesses mentioned that a thick black smoke filled the sky after the crash and flames could be seen from almost a kilometre away. According to NDTV, an almost 300-metre-long stretch of the highway was affected by the accident. Long queues of cars and motorists were seen waiting as firefighters rushed to douse the fire.
