According to Jamnagar Airport authorities, the airport saw 40 times more flight arrivals between February 26 and March 4 during the Ambani festivities. We all know how the Jamnagar Airport got a special ‘international status’ for a specific period during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations. This was mainly to facilitate ease of private jet movement for all the international guests. As per a report by India Today, it has been recorded that the airport saw a movement of 430 domestic and 110 international flights from February 26 to March 4. This is massive air traffic for an airport that usually sees three to four flights per day! The Jamnagar Airport saw many swanky private jets in its hangar, thanks to the fleet of celebrities, politicians, businessmen, and entrepreneurs that graced this weekend-long Ambani celebration. Many domestic and international guests flew by private jets to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding ceremonies. According to the India Today report, different variants of Bombardier Challenger, Bombardier Global, Bombardier Global Express, Dassault Falcon, Embraer Legacy, Embraer ERJ, Embraer Phenom, Gulfstream, Cessna 560XL, and Hawker 800XP were seen at the Jamnagar Airport during this time.
