The LoC, AKA Line Of Control, is a heavily militarised zone. In fact, no civilians are allowed to come near the area, except for army personnel. However, the J&K authorities have decided to open certain spots near the LoC for tourists.
J&K Is Opening Places Near LoC For Tourists
The government of Jammu and Kashmir and the Department of Tourism have opened various sites close to the LOC for tourists and visitors after several tranquil years along the LOC. In addition to revealing their natural beauty, the opening up of the areas, including Keran, Gurez, Tangdhar, Machil, and Bangus, has given visitors a rare chance to see a border separating two countries.
These gorgeous regions in North Kashmir that are near the Line of Control (LoC) are quickly becoming the new frontiers for tourism. These currently unreachable gems, hidden within the high mountain ranges, have attracted the attention of both domestic and foreign travellers.
