The Bhaderwah Winter Festival will take place from December 27 to December 31. The Qilla (Bhaderwah Fort), Jae Valley, Guldanda, and Gatha Park are well-known areas where activities are planned. Cultural activities, local artist performances, music, sports, local food, and kiosks promoting local craft and culinary items will kick off the festival at Bhaderwah Fort.
On the second day, music and adventure activities including paragliding, horseback riding, zorbing, and trekking will bring the Jae Valley to life. While on the third and fourth days, skiers and snow scooter riders can enjoy skiing, music, and local cuisine at Guldanda. On the fifth day of the event, celebrity artists and singers will perform until midnight to celebrate the New Year. The Community Centre has also scheduled a parallel film festival. Here the newest Bollywood productions as well as films starring local heroes will be screened for five days. The goal of the winter festival is to attract a sizable number of visitors to provide local artists and culture a platform.
Bhaderwah, often referred to as Mini Kashmir, has a history steeped in cultural diversity and resilience. The town has been a melting pot of various civilisations. They have contributed to a unique blend of traditions that find expression during the Winter Festival.
