Rajasthan’s Jodhpur railway station has been voted as the cleanest in the country followed by Jaipur and Tirupati.
What Is It?
As per the recent survey conducted on Station Cleanliness by Quality Council of India (QCI), Rajasthan’s Jodhpur railway station has been ranked as the cleanest station in the country. Jodhpur was followed by Jaipur and Tirupati. These 3 stations fall under the A1 category and other city stations including Marwar, Phulera and Warangal fall under the A category.
If we talk about zone wise, North Western Railway stations have topped the list followed by South Central and then East Coast.
If we’re talking about overall sanitation issues, from 38% in 2014, the coverage has come up to 80% in the last 4 years. The next assignment would be identifying unclean spots around stations and bringing them to notice. Throughout India’s railway stations, health and sanitation will be enhanced.
