Every one of us is aware of all the restrictions and guidelines that we had to follow during the COVID-19 pandemic in the past 3 years. From schools to pools to gyms to probably every other place where people could gather were closed to stop the spread of the coronavirus. With time, everything improved and we are once again living in a world like before. Due to the restrictions, the Fatorda pool at Goa’s Panaji was also shut down. And finally, after a long halt, the pool is all set to be open to the public very soon. Isn’t that exciting news? We are quite sure that the swimming enthusiasts of Panaji are screaming in joy!
When Is The Fatorda Pool Opening?
The Sports Authority of Goa has shared the grand news recently. They stated that the pool will be open to people in about 2 weeks, according to a report by The Times of India. This is indeed good news for everyone who regularly visited here for swimming. Another great news is that the pool is getting a major makeover. With new designs, elements, and additions, the pool is all set to reopen very soon, within just 2 weeks.

Maintenance And Renovations Are Going On Right Now
The pool was not shut down for such a long time just because of the pandemic restrictions. Fatorda pool needed some reconstructions and the Sports Authority of Goa began refurbishing it in between. The renovations are going on at the moment. The TOI report states that SAG planned to decorate the pool by February 2023. But the contractor delayed the process.

The authority is working on a lot of things to improve the condition of this pool. It is going to be opened soon with enhanced changing rooms, washrooms, a filtration plant, and more. Most of the construction works are already completed. Some few steps are left to be wrapped up. Once everything is completed, the Sports Authority of Goa will open the doors to the public.
