Kanpur: Bomb Threat Posters Pasted At Ram Janki Temple In UP, Police Files A Case

In a concerning turn of events, the Ram Janaki Temple in Kanpur received a bomb threat on Sunday. There were several threatening posters pasted on the walls and scattered around the floor of the temple premises. The poster mentioned threats of bombing the entire temple with a special mention of Rohit Sahu, who is a BJP leader and a notable trustee of the temple.

Several Posters Found Scattered On Walls & Floors At Ram Janki Temple

Like many temples, the Ram Janaki Temple in Kanpur hosted a grand celebration to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Barely six days after the celebration, the temple received posters of bombing threats by unknown miscreants. These posters were pasted across walls and scattered around the floor of the temple. The posters started with a threat to Rohit Sahu who also happens to be a political leader and a trustee of the ancient temple.

The threatening letter was in Hindi. It further mentioned the puja and aarti that took place in the temple on January 22. It also mentioned bombing the entire temple premise in the end which raised concern amongst the locals.

Police File A Case Against The Miscreants Of This Nuisance

Upon receiving the threats, the police immediately reached the temple and started an investigation. The police have filed a case against the miscreants involved as there are many objectionable statements in the poster. As per Rahul Sahu, the younger brother of Rohit Sahu, the entire fiasco has been concerning. They have installed police barricades around the temple to avoid any dangerous situation.
