Women empowerment and gender equality are central to a Country’s progress. And the government of India has time and again taken initiatives to ensure the same. Recently Uttarakhand’s women empowerment Minister Rekha Arya was seen talking about promoting gender equality in her state. She looks forward to doing so with the upcoming 25-km Kanwar yatra in Haridwar on July 26. The on-foot yatra will be taken out from Har Ki Pauri with the message of fighting gender inequality. Kanwar Yatra To Conclude With A Jalabhishek At The Veerabhadra Temple

On Thursday, Uttarakhand’s women empowerment Minister Rekha Arya said that the Kanwar yatra will start from Har Ki Pauri. The yatra will conclude with a ‘jalabhishek’ at the ancient Veerabhadra temple in Rishikesh, a July 21 PTI report revealed. Must say, the minister’s initiative to conduct a 25-km Kanwar yatra to spread the message of gender equality is truly commendable! The yatra will be held in Uttarakhand on July 26. The PTI report also reveals that yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Panch Dashnaam Juna Akhada chief patron Harigiri Maharaj will also be present in the Yatra. Apart from this, Arya herself will be seen taking part in the special Kanwar yatra. Along with spreading the message of fighting gender inequality, the yatra will also promote Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.

Panch Dashnaam Juna Akhada Chief Patron Harigiri ji Maharaj Will Start The Yatra

The 25 km Kanwar Yatra that will be held in Uttarakhand is an important step taken for women empowerment and gender equality in India. The PTI report also reveals that the yatra will be kicked off by Panch Dashnaam Juna Akhada chief patron Harigiri ji Maharaj in Uttarakhand, on July 26, 2022. Shri Panch Dashnaam Juna Akhada is the largest of the 13 Akhadas of Kumbh Mela in India. And to witness the Kanwar yatra being started by the akhada’s chief patron Harigiri Ji Maharaj will be a memorable sight! The initiative taken by Uttarakhand’s women empowerment Minister Rekha Arya will also involve Anganwadi volunteers and students. The volunteers and students will be seen taking part in the upcoming yatra.
