The Union Territory Sees A Significant Growth In Travellers Post-Pandemic
The Hotel Association of India recently launched the document of Vision 2047 on Friday. During the unveiling of this document, the association shared some fascinating plans and strategies related to the future of the tourism sector of Kashmir for the next 25 years. It also stated how the union territory has evolved as a tourism location after the COVID-19 pandemic and its popularity as a travel destination has seen a surge especially, according to a report by MoneyControl.

About 18 million visitors from India and other places of the world enjoyed holidays in this destination back in the year 2022. The Hotel Association of India also stated about the rise in adventure tourism in this valley post-pandemic. In the past some time, Kashmir has established itself as a travel destination and a good part of this growth also includes adventure tourism.
HAI Vice President KB Kachru shared that the reasons behind the boost and enhancement of the travel sector in the valley are culture, history, and natural beauty.
Initiatives To Support The Boost In Kashmir’s Tourism:
The report stated how the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the Centre’s support and assistance have helped in achieving such great numbers in recent times. There is no denying that the natural aura and serene surroundings of this travel destination are enough to lure in travel enthusiasts from all around the world. Also, there is another reason that played an amazing role in boosting tourism in this valley.
Srinagar hosted the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting from 22 to 24 May 2023. This event and the presence of guests from different places have played an amazing impact in establishing the valley as a significant destination for such meetings and events. The association stated that this helped in presenting Kashmir’s prospects to host meetings and conferences. Also, it bolstered regional tourism as well.
