Kerala Bags First Spot In Top 20 Global Trending Destinations For 2020

The vibrant Kathakali, delicious coconut-infused Puttu & Kadla Curry, ancient temples like the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, vibrant coffee plantations, tall coconut trees, spectacular beaches, calming backwaters and whatnot, has brought ‘God’s Own Country’, Kerala on the world tourism map. So much so, that Kerala has bagged the first spot in the top 20 global trending destinations for 2020, as per a global Airbnb survey. Kerala has raced ahead of global destinations like USA, Spain, Thailand and even Australia to become a favourite amongst both domestic and international tourists.

According to a survey conducted by an online travel marketplace, Kerala has seen a whopping 95% jump in travel bookings in 2019 for the next year, 2020. The natural diversity in Kerala has already attracted many tourists from across India. Kerala also has a responsible tourism program, that offers support to both outstation and local tourists to fully enjoy and assist in conserving the culture of the state. The top 20 global trending destinations for 2020 also includes post-industrial cultural hotspots like Milwaukee in the USA and Guadalajara in Mexico. Tourists are seen to increasingly visit eco-conscious destination.
