Khushi Kapoor On Her Multicultural Upbringing
In a candid conversation with Kamiya Jani and Khushi Kapoor, the actress opens up about her multicultural upbringing and how it influences her unique food choices. Raised in a family that blends South Indian and North Indian traditions, Khushi admits she often combines both cuisines in unexpected ways. “We will have upma with butter chicken… I’m just used to mixing everything on our plates and eating it,” she says.
Despite the seemingly odd pairing, Khushi finds that upma and butter chicken complement each other surprisingly well. “It honestly isn’t bad. It’s really good.”Khushi confessed that despite living abroad for a year or so, she never really got the hang of cooking.
“I can do eggs, I can do pasta, I can do survival cooking,” though her culinary skills have yet to extend beyond basic meals. The discussion also touches on her school days, where food stands near her school in Juhu served as an after-school hangout, offering everything from dosas to pani puri.
