For people who like to run, they know that there is something absolutely freeing about the activity. And now, for the occasion of the Saudi National Day, there is a Kingdom Duathlon that’s coming to Saudi Arabia. In this activity, you’ll have to run, bike, and then run again to complete the fun-filled course with like-minded runners. Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming sports event.
Kingdom Duathlon Is Coming To Saudi Arabia
This is the second stage of the event by Race Arabia and it will be taking place on September 22 and 23, which is a Sunday and Monday, respectively. For the occasion of Saudi National Day, the Kingdom Duathlon is going to motivate you to push your limits, as you navigate the picturesque grounds of the King Abdulaziz Equestrian Field. An event that is perfect for both seasoned athletes seeking new challenges and beginners looking to embrace the runner’s lifestyle. Yes, you can either choose a 3 km Saudi National Day Fun Run, which is on Day 1 or even the Singles Sprint Duathlon, which is on Day 2. The latter starts with a 5 km run, continues with 20 km bike, and finally concludes with a 2.5 km run.
As it happens, you don’t have to do it alone, as you can join with your mates and form a team to play the new Team Relay Sprint Duathlon. In this event, there will be 5 km of run followed by 20 km of bike, and finishing up with a 2.5 km run. This event will also be happening on Day 2, during which a two-person team can share the thrill.

However, if you have a child who is also enthusiastic about running, then they can also participate in three different age categories.
- For children aged 8 to 10, the race starts at 7:45 AM. It comprises a 1 km run which is followed by a 4 km bike ride, and concludes with a 500 m run.
- For children aged 11 to 14, the race begins at 8:45 AM and the participants will have to run 2 km before continuing with an 8 km cycle, and ending with a 600 m run.
- Finally, kids under the age of eight can also participate as the race starts at 7 AM and features of 500 m run, 1 km cycle, and 250 m run format.
Doesn’t it all sound absolutely awesome? Well, it’s not too late to enter as this race can still be experienced. The tickets are available on the website of Race Arabia and they start at SAR59 (for kids).
