There’s a brand-new spot in Mumbai that’s quickly becoming everyone’s favourite corner to relax, eat well, and feel at home. Kona Kona is a beautiful new restaurant and bar by actress Mona Singh, now welcoming us into a space built straight from her heart. But Kona Kona is something special. The moment you step in, you can feel the warmth, the stories, and the comfort. Every little detail here is meant to make you feel like you belong. It’s not flashy or fancy, but soulful, cosy, and full of character.

Kona Kona is inspired by Mona Singh’s travels, her favourite foods growing up, and the little moments in life that stay with us, like a scent from a childhood kitchen or the taste of a snack from a school canteen. She wanted to create a place where people could feel at ease, connect over good food and drinks, and simply be themselves.
It’s a neighbourhood bar with a difference. It’s where you come for a drink and end up staying for the memories you make.
Kona Kona is spread over 2,000 square feet, with enough space for about 100 guests. It has both indoor seating and a lovely outdoor area, and yes, it’s pet friendly! So you can bring your furry friends along, and guess what? There are plans to have a special menu just for them, too!
The interiors aren’t designed by any fancy firm. They’re built by the team themselves, based on feeling, instinct, and a lot of love. It’s a space that feels lived in, with warm lighting, comfortable corners, and thoughtful little details that make you want to stay a while. And don’t miss The Duckman, a quirky little mascot hiding in plain sight. He’s part art, part inside joke, and a reminder not to take life too seriously. Like everything else here, he adds to the charm.

The Food Evokes Nostalgia In Every Bite
The food at Kona Kona is all about feelings. Chefs Jasleen Marwah and Neetu Solanki have created a comforting and flavourful menu with a fresh, personal twist.
TP Nimki, a crispy snack, Darjeeling Jhol Jhal, steamed momos served with jhol, and Alappey Veg Curry, a Kerala-inspired curry, are some of the dishes that will make your heart (and stomach) happy. At Kona Kona, even the cocktails are made to bring a smile to your face. Some standouts from the bar include Bombay Sour, Rum Maro Rum, Kill Bill, and Duck Knight. Just like the food, they’re designed to spark conversation and make you feel things.
“As a first-time restaurateur,” Mona says, “I didn’t want to create something fancy. I wanted to create a place where people feel at home — where they come for a drink and stay for the comfort, the laughter, the stories.” And honestly, she’s done just that.
Whether you’re going solo for a quiet drink, catching up with old friends, or making new ones, this place is built to make you feel good.
