Kriti Sanon Relished Methi Paratha With Butter
Methi paratha is one of the most delicious treats to enjoy in winter. Not only is the dish very healthy, if made correctly, but it is also one of the beloved winter staples in North India. Kriti Sanon, who loves food, recently shared a snap of the delicious methi paratha that she got to enjoy. She shared the snap on her Instagram stories and immediately, we started drooling.
Probably, the best part about the snap was that she topped the paratha with oodles of butter! Sure, it might not be very healthy but the occasional indulgence is necessary to have a well-balanced life! The meal is simple but as most simple food items go, its simplicity only adds to what makes it so tasty! The dish is proof that the best things in life are simple and without bells and whistles!

Here’s How You, Too, Can Make It At Home
Ingredients
- Ajwain, half tsp
- Chilli Powder, quarter tsp
- Chopped Green Chillies, quarter tsp
- Ghee, three tbsp
- Grated Ginger, one and a half tsp
- Methi Leaves, One Cup
- Oil, one tsp
- Salt, half tsp
- Vinegar, as per requirement
- Water, as per requirement
- Whole Wheat Flour, Two Cups
- Yoghurt, Two tbsp
Preparation
- Wash methi leaves thoroughly and chop them.
- Mix Atta, chopped methi, salt, yoghurt, garam masala, chilli powder, green chillies, and grated ginger.
- Start kneading the dough and gradually add water to make the dough softer.
- Add oil and knead some more.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. This is optional and if you don’t have the time, you can start making dough balls right away. However, letting the dough rest does help in making softer parathas.
- Roll out the dough balls and roast them on pans.
- Top with desi ghee or butter and serve with any chutney or pickles.
