Ladakh, a region in Northern India, boasts stunning natural beauty and a rich cultural heritage. It is a paradise for adventure enthusiasts, with its rugged mountains and vast stretches of untouched landscapes. But now, it will be known for something else as well. The adventure destination is all set to host a one-of-a-kind fashion show at the world’s highest motorable road, Umling la.
Ladakh To Host Fashion Show At Umling La
Umling La, located in Ladakh, is the world’s highest motorable road. With its rugged terrain and panoramic vistas, Umling La attracts nature enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike. The Ladakh International Music Festival is all set to return with its latest addition. But, with a special element this time.
The organisers will host a unique fashion show during the festival which will take place at Umling La, at 19,022 ft. They will name the fashion show the ‘Ladakh International Fashion Runway.’ The entire event will be known as the Ladakh Art and Entertainment Alliance.

The event is scheduled from August 23 to September 3 this year. The beauty pageant will showcase women leaders from G20 countries and guest countries. According to reports, several title holders of Miss Universe, World, and Earth will also be participating. They will share ideas of empowerment through peace and friendship, reported the Times Of India.
What Should You Look Forward To?
The reports state that participants walking the ramp will include Vanshika Parmar, Miss Earth from India. Giulia Ragazzini, Miss Earth from Italy. And Lindsey Coffey, Miss Earth from the USA, will also be part of the event.
Additionally, Yuumi Kato, Miss Universe from Japan, Luissa Burton, Miss Earth from the United Kingdom, and Annabella Fleck, Miss Earth from Germany, will participate. Rifah Nanjiba Torsa, Miss World from Bangladesh, will be among the others joining the event.
As per Times Of India reports, all the models participating in the event would bring half a kilo of sand each from their respective country which will be mixed with concrete, and put into the ready-made creative mould.
The mould is of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, at the highest altitude road in the world echoing the G20 spirit. The Director and Co-founder of LAEA, Pankaj Gupta, is the brain behind this unique fashion show. As per Times Of India reports, He admitted that the event is his official attempt to secure a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
