Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman made football fans immensely happy by announcing Lionel Mess’s arrival in India. The Argentina football team with its captain will visit the Indian state to compete in an international friendly match, the minister stated on Wednesday. This will mark Messi’s return to India after a long wait of 14 years.
Efficient steps will be taken to organise the high-profile match in Kerala. In a recent press conference, V. Abdurahiman shared that the football game will be hosted under the state government’s complete supervision. Merchants of Kerala will provide all kinds of financial assistance to conduct the high-intensity football match. While speaking at the conference, the minister shared his optimistic views on how Kerala can organise the spectacular and much-awaited event proficiently.
As of now, the Argentina Football Association has not made any official announcement on the team travelling to India to play an international match. Till now, the available information states Argentina is about to play a match in Kerala in 2025. More details about the opponent, venue, date, timing, and tickets are yet to be known.
