Gone are those days when flight delays were unusual incidents. In recent times, episodes of flights getting delayed have become common not just in India but worldwide. While most delays take place due to adverse weather conditions and technical issues, a major unavoidable circumstance was reported in Mumbai recently. A lizard was seen on an IndiGo flight and this delayed the on-time scheduled departure.
A Black Lizard Was Spotted On IndiGo Flight To Ranchi
Taking to LinkedIn, Sanjeev Varshney shared the horrifying incident with Netizens. The surprising news of passengers seeing a lizard on a flight broke out on September 1. As shared in the LinkedIn post, Sanjeev Varshney’s wife and 12-year-old son were on their way to Ranchi. They boarded an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to travel to Ranchi on Sunday. When they were boarding and getting inside the aircraft, they spotted a black lizard on it.
The mother and son’s seats were around seven seats behind the spot from where they spotted the reptile. First, they sat on their specified seats and then informed the air hostess about finding a lizard on the IndiGo flight. Responding to the incident, the air hostess requested the woman passenger to not talk about it as this might create a chaotic and panic situation.
Soon, the air hostess notified the ground staff about the incident. Later, the staff called the woman passenger out of the flight and talked about everything she noticed while boarding. They changed her seat and started searching for the reptile with brooms, a bucket, and spray. All their efforts went in vain as they could not get hold of the lizard even after searching everywhere.
Passengers Deboarded The Aircraft
Without any solution in hand, IndiGo arranged another flight to Ranchi for all passengers. The worst part was some insensitive flyers abusing the kid for being afraid of a lizard and blaming him for the flight delay. The kid felt victimised since the incident, Sanjeev Varshney shared.
He raised important questions such as, “How can a lizard enter an aircraft” and “Why was boarding permitted even after his wife reported about it” and also pointed out other passengers’ insensitive attitude towards the kid.
