Kangana Ranaut Seeks Blessings At This Famous Temple In Karnataka

During her recent Karnataka trip, Kangana Ranaut visited some renowned temples in the state. She visited the Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Kateel. In a series of pictures, she can be seen sitting inside the temple premises with her eyes closed and interacting with the priests and temple staff after performing pooja.

Just a few days back, Shilpa Shetty also visited the temple to seek blessings from the Goddess. She visited the temple with her kids, mother, and sister. She was enjoying a trip to her hometown, Mangalore, at that time.

Before visiting Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple, Kangana Ranaut offered prayers at Shri Hale Mariamma Temple in Koppalangadi. In the pictures, she could be seen manoeuvring by a sea of people to seek blessings from Goddess Mariamma.

All About Kateel’s Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple

Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple is located in the temple town of Kateel, also known as Kateelu. Nestled by the banks of River Nandini, this town is considered one of the holiest places for Hindus in India. The temple is located just a little over 20 kilometres from Mangalore city. Reportedly, the temple is situated on an islet in the middle of the River Nandini. So, while you’re praying, you can also enjoy panoramic views and fascinating greenery from the temple premises.

The temple is an Udhbhava Moorthi, which means it is naturally formed. It is believed that it was established by sages and saints to celebrate their victory over the demon Arunasura. The temple’s pillars are adorned with beautiful sculptures that reflect the rich history of the region. Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple celebrates the Navarathri festival and the annual festival Brahmakalashotsava with full gusto. Thousands of devotees visit Kateel’s Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple every day to seek blessings from goddess Durga Parameshwari.
