The first day of Lollapalooza India 2025 saw global music icons set the stage ablaze with their dynamic performances. Headliner Shawn Mendes took over the Corona Sunsets Stage, enthralling fans with hits like There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back and Señorita. Mendes surprised the audience with a heartfelt gesture, donning an Indian cricket jersey and delivering a unique classical-pop fusion with sitar maestro Niladri Kumar.
British indie rock sensation Glass Animals captivated the crowd with their psychedelic melodies, while EDM powerhouse Zedd turned the festival grounds into a massive dance floor with his chart-topping tracks, including Clarity. Other standout international performances included funk guitarist Cory Wong’s groovy instrumentals, Isabel LaRosa’s haunting pop vocals, and Lullanas’ soulful harmonies.
Indian artists ensured that homegrown talent was in the spotlight, with Jonita Gandhi energising the crowd with What Jhumka? and a surprise appearance by rapper DIVINE. Talwiinder, Dot., Dhanji, Spyryk, Sahil Vasudeva, and other rising stars showcased India’s diverse music scene, blending indie, rap, electronic, and experimental sounds.

Beyond The Music: Food, Art, And Inclusivity
Lollapalooza India is not just about music—it’s a sensory extravaganza. The Lolla Food Park was a paradise for food lovers, featuring a wide range of culinary delights, from Mumbai’s street food to international festival favourites. Fans also flocked to the Lolla Merchandise Stall to grab exclusive festival memorabilia.
Art installations added a visual spectacle to the festival grounds. The iconic Lolla Inflatable and the vibrant Shaman Inflatable served as festival landmarks. The Kaali Peeli Taxi Installation turned Mumbai’s local charm into a unique interactive experience. The Lolla Artboard and Lolla Garden brought bursts of colour to the venue, providing perfect Instagram-worthy backdrops.
Inclusivity remained a key focus, with the #LollaForChange initiative ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees. There were gender-neutral washrooms and accessibility services for persons with disabilities. The sign language interpreters for performances demonstrated the festival’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
