In the latest news from the aviation industry, an Air India flight returned to Mumbai on 4 August. The flight was on its way to London but the plan saw a change en route, and hence the decision of returning to the bay.

It was an Air India AI-131 flight bound for London. The flight took off properly from Mumbai but had to change the route altogether and make an unforeseen diversion. The reason behind the sudden return was a technical issue noticed in one of the engines of the flight. According to several online reports, the left engine of the Air India aircraft faced a technical glitch. Therefore, the decision was taken to return to Mumbai.

It is true that this unexpected change in plan interfered with passengers’ itineraries in London. But the good news here is that the pilot made a safe landing on the runway after reaching Mumbai. Passengers and cabin crew members on board the aircraft were safe and did not face any injuries.

Following the return, Air India began working on arranging flights and resources so that all passengers can board a flight and fly to their scheduled destinations, according to a report by CNBC TV18.
