JOALI Maldives’ Imagi-Nature Art Festival allows one to experience art in natural splendour. This innovative project created in collaboration with renowned art consultant Tatiana Gecmen-Waldek brings an extraordinary selection of artworks by contemporary artists.
Held from April 14-18, guests can experience these creative collaborations done by celebrated artists worldwide. Many pieces are made from recyclable waste, clay, and other natural materials to inspire a sustainable lifestyle. Moreover, a line of special events awaits on World Art Day (April 15) when the resort will serve as a gallery for various artworks and installations.

JOALI Maldives is also dedicated to gender equality and the advancement of outstanding women. As a female-owned retreat, the resort will also prioritise having female artists in the selection process at the Imagi-Nature Art Festival.
The festival aims to give local women a platform to express their message through the arts by assisting them in honing their artistic abilities through on-site training and workshops led by the resort’s resident artist. The local products and artwork are then on sale to visitors in the JOALI Art Studio.
To gastronomes’ delight, Le Petite Chef’s exhibit will be also accessible for six months in Saoke, the on-site Japanese restaurant that aims to redefine the culinary arts. It is created by the famous restaurant architect Noriyoshi Muramatsu.
