The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela is certainly the biggest gathering of devotees on earth. With so many people taking a dip on a daily basis, there is now good news for people who are visiting this gathering in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. Especially for people who don’t wish to take a long walk and want to avoid immense crowds. We say this because now a helicopter service is available that directly transports people from the airport to the Triveni Sangam.

If you are planning to visit Prayagraj for Mahakumbh, but are intimidated by the massive crowds of people, then you will be pleased to know that a helicopter service is available for people that transports one directly from the airport to Triveni Sangam. This service has been introduced by Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board and Fly Ola together for the ongoing mela. As it happens, with the help of this service, as revealed in a report by India Today, devotees will be able to take a dip in the holy river without having to walk.

It’s worth mentioning that the helicopter will be available at the Prayagraj Airport and it will directly take the passengers to the helipad, which is located near Triveni Sangam at the Boat Club. From there, the devotees will then be provided a boat that will take them straight to the Sangam, allowing them to take the dip. After this, they will be returned to the helipad via the same boat, and the helicopter will drop them back at the airport.

Now talking about the price, the entire package is priced at ₹35000 per person. This allows the devotees to visit Triveni Sangam without the hassle of walking through the crowds of people. Not to mention, the service is especially beneficial for elderly and differently abled individuals who cannot walk for longer distances. If you can afford it, this service is going to allow you to visit the Triveni Sangam without any hassle. However, for anyone who cannot afford a full package but wants to get the aerial view of the Sangam from the air, can pay ₹1200 for a joy ride.

It’s worth mentioning that the Mahakumbh 2025 is happening for 45 days in Prayagraj, and this is a once-in-a 144-year spiritual gathering. This mela began on January 13 and the congregation is expected to go on till February 26. In fact, it is also expected to draw 450 million devotees to the Sangam.

So, if you are also planning to visit the mela, don’t forget to keep this development in mind.
