Over the past week, MakeMyTrip experienced a 60% drop in bookings and a 250% increase in cancellations for Turkey and Azerbaijan. The numbers highlight how Indian travellers are reacting strongly to the ongoing geopolitical situation.
In response, the travel platform discontinued all offers and promotions for these countries. It now advises travellers to avoid non-essential trips to both destinations, aligning itself with public sentiment and national interest.
IndiGo Continues International Operations But Stays Cautious
IndiGo has not yet altered its flight schedule to Turkey and Azerbaijan. According to a recent update, the airline plans to continue regular services for now. However, it is closely watching developments on the ground and remains ready to reassess operations if needed.
