You’ve seen Malavika Mohanan in blockbuster South Indian films but on this Sunday Brunch episode, you’ll see her in her home, whipping up delicious Malayali dishes for our Editor-In-Chief Kamiya Jani! We had a delightful conversation with her and an even more delightful brunch session! Malavika is a proud Mallu and we were more than happy to hear her proudly talk about all things Kerala. Malavika Mohanan also revealed the moment in her career when she was starstruck by Megastar Rajnikanth.
Malavika Mohanan Once Got A Call From Megastar Rajnikanth
We were noshing on the lavish feast that Malavika prepared for us. During the meal, Malavika spilt some beans about her experience of working with Rajnikanth. She said that the megastar was extremely humble and down-to-earth.
She said that he was so forthcoming and he conducted himself with such humility that no one would believe that he’s a megastar. Soon after her project with Rajnikanth, Malavika did a movie with Thalapathy Vijay, ‘Master.’ Around its release, Malavika got phone calls from an unknown number.
She initially did not receive the calls as she didn’t know who it was. However, since the call kept coming, she finally received it. Turns out, it was the megastar himself! He called her personally to congratulate her on the movie. Rajnikanth told her that he enjoyed the movie and thought that she looked very pretty in it! We understand why Malavika was so struck!

We were quite excited for this episode as not only were we looking forward to chatting with Malavika Mohanan, but we were also excited to gorge on Malayali food. And we weren’t disappointed!
