Beond, which is pronounced ‘beyond’, uses a narrow-body aircraft and is all set to take you to the Maldives. It offers an all-premium cabin with lie-flat chairs that share components with Ferrari cars in an effort to resemble a “private jet” experience.
Beond, a Malé-based airline that is scheduled to launch operations in September 2023. It will first fly a small fleet of Airbus A319 aircraft before upgrading to the larger Airbus A321. The first two confirmed destinations are Dubai and Delhi.
The Maldives’ principal airport, Velana International Airport, which is close to the capital island of Malé, now has service from over thirty airlines. Beond intends to pick its destinations carefully and fly passengers directly to the island, as opposed to passing through a hub, as other airlines like Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Turkish Airlines do.

On its Airbus A319s, Beond will only offer a total of 44 seats, despite the fact that the aircraft can accommodate 156 passengers in an all-economy configuration. They intend to fit 68 seats on the larger A321 aircraft, which will go into service in 2024 and can typically accommodate up to 220 economy passengers.
A sense of elegance and comfort is intended to be provided by the two-abreast arrangement. The seats were created by the Italian company Optimares, which also provided comparable interiors for a Four Seasons A321 private jet. The LaFerrari is a high-end sports car that cost roughly $1.5 million when it was first released in 2013 but now fetches much more at auction.
It will offer direct links to Australia, beginning in Perth, and South Africa, initially to Cape Town. Asian routes will include Japan, South Korea, and China. Beond will be priced “attractively,” with return tickets from Europe starting at roughly $3,000 but going up from December to April, which is the Maldives’ busiest season. (As per CNN)
