Mangaluru To Delhi In Just 3 Hours! Air India Express Launches Daily Direct Mangaluru-Delhi Flights

Air India Express has inaugurated a daily direct flight service connecting Mangaluru International Airport, or the MIA, with the Indira Gandhi International Airport or the IGIA in Delhi. This marks a significant enhancement in Karnataka’s air connectivity network. Flyers will be able to travel between the capital of the country and Mangaluru in just three hours. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this particular new flight route.

Air India Express Daily Direct Flights Between Mangaluru And Delhi

The inaugural flights commenced on February 1, 2025, with IX 1552 departing Mangaluru at 6:40 am and touching down in Delhi at 9:35 am. Simultaneously, the Delhi-Mangaluru leg, operating as IX 2768, took off from the capital at 6:40 am and landed in Mangaluru at 9:35 am. 

The maiden flight to Delhi carried 167 passengers. The inbound service, on the other hand, transported 144 travellers. The Aerodrome Rescue and Fire Fighting unit at MIA welcomed the inaugural flight with a traditional water cannon salute.

This new route strengthens the existing air corridor between the two cities, complementing IndiGo’s evening service to provide travellers with two daily direct flight options. An MIA spokesperson highlighted the service’s significance.
