For Hindus, the birth of the Hindu deity Lord Krishna is a significant occasion. It falls on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha monthly and is called Masik Krishna Janmashtami. Mythological views state that Lord Krishna’s birth was not a typical occurrence. His birth is regarded as a heavenly intervention meant to bring righteousness and balance back to the earth. With his birth, a new age in which good prevailed over evil began. The birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth manifestation of Lord Vishnu, is celebrated every month on Masik Krishna Janmashtami.
This month, it falls on the 20th of February. According to Hindu tradition, Lord Krishna was born at midnight, thus worshippers consider this time to be very sacred.
How To Celebrate Masik Krishna Janmashtami

Krishna Janmashtami has been celebrated since ancient times. The Bhagavata Purana states that under the oppressive reign of King Kamsa, Krishna was born to King Vasudeva and Queen Devaki in a Mathuran jail cell. It was predicted that his birth would terminate Kamsa’s rule and restore righteousness.
