Roblox is a popular game, and the in-game chat has been disabled in the UAE. This comes after an agreement with the country’s telecom regulator. Addressing child protection concerns, the move aims for restricted Arabic content moderation.

2. 11th World Green Economy Summit Announced

The dates for the 11th World Green Economy Summit have been announced. It will be taking place on October 1st and 2nd at Dubai World Trade Centre. This year, the theme is ‘Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy’. The event is being organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, World Green Economy Organisation, and DEWA.

3. Gulf Air Starts Seasonal Service To El Alamein

Gulf Air, which is the national carrier of Bahrain, has launched its new summer flight services. This is to El Alamein in Egypt, which is situated in its northern Mediterranean coast. In fact, the aim is to increase connectivity between Bahrain and tourist spots in Egypt.

4. Finn Air Cancels Several Flights

Finn Air has recently cancelled several flights, which also include those to Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Yes, flight FIN8864, which was travelling from Hong Kong International to Hamad International Airport, was supposed to take off at 6:55 PM on Thursday. However, it was later cancelled.

5. Traffic To Be Affected Between DXB Terminal 1 And 3

There is some ongoing roadworks, which will be taking place until September 7. As a result, due to lane closures, traffic will be affected. Especially those moving from terminal 1 to 3. So, make sure to keep some extra time in hand while travelling.

6. Hayya 2.0 Platform To Be Launched By Qatar

Qatar’s Hayya platform has achieved a major milestone. After all, it has processed more than 2 million e-visa applications since the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. And now, there are plans for launching Hayya 2.0. The aim is to boost travel, tourism, and business access.

7. 18 Unique Species Of Seaweed Found In Oman

Recently, a study was conducted by the Sultan Qaboos University. As a result, more than 400 species of seaweeds were identified in Omani waters. In fact, 18 of these were unique to the sultanate. Most of these seaweeds were found in the water off the coast of Dhofar.

8. Archaeological Artefacts Uncovered In Saudi Arabia

During the 14th season of excavation, which took place at Al-Ukhdood, Najran, the Saudi-French archaeological mission uncovered several artefacts. These were dating from the sixth century BC to the fifth century CE. These artefacts included pottery vessels, such as jars, glassware, domesticated animal bones, and even stone objects like grinders and pestles.

9. Crown Prince Camel Festival 2025 Breaks World Record

With the participation exceeding 1,00,000 camels on the first day, the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2025 has set a new record. They have achieved this feat in the seventh edition of the festival, which took place in Taif.

10. The Met To Host Opera In Riyadh

The Saudi Music Commission, along with Royal Diriyah Opera House and the Metropolitan Opera, have signed a deal. This means that the Met Opera will travel to Riyadh each winter for five years for full staging. The Royal Diriyah Opera House will be built near the UNESCO World Heritage site of At Turaif in Diriyah.
