The name Zohran Mamdani has been making headlines, but very few people have heard about the news he made in April when he got married in a lavish rooftop wedding in Dubai. Yes, the 34-year-old politician, NYC’s first Indian-origin mayor, tied the knot in a stunning rooftop ceremony in Dubai that looked straight out of a fairytale. His wife, Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist who grew up in the UAE and Zohran Mamdani celebrated an intimate nikkah (wedding) in Dubai overlooking the Burj Khalifa at this venue.

A Rooftop Wedding With Dubai’s Sunset As Witness

According to a report by Economic Times, a couple hosted an intimate Nikkah ceremony on the rooftop of Vida Creek Harbour.  The event captured that perfect Dubai blend of sophistication and skyline romance. The venue’s open terrace, with panoramic views of the Burj Khalifa, became the backdrop for their heartfelt vows.

Dubai-based florist LMF Dubai turned the space into a white floral garden. They used ivory roses, lisianthus, and fresh ruscus to frame the ceremony under the warm pink hues of the city’s sunset. 

Inside Vida Creek Harbour: Dubai’s Serene New Gem

For those curious about the venue that witnessed this power couple’s union, Vida Creek Beach, part of the Vida Creek Harbour development, is one of Dubai’s newer waterfront properties.  Opened in late 2023, this hotel offers subtle luxury that exudes calm.

Rooms feature king-size beds, warm lighting, and private balconies overlooking the lagoon. Guests can expect a rare blend of comfort and tranquillity. The hotel boasts two major restaurants: Courtyard and  Kiyoshi.
