Eid al-Adha is just around the corner, and Dubai has announced the rollout of a series of celebrations for residents and visitors. Yes, to celebrate Eid al-Adha, Dubai has announced selected beaches to be designated exclusively for families and loads more exciting things. Here’s all you need to know about this development coming in from the emirate.

Dubai Announces Eid al-Adha Programmes

The news reveals in its report how Dubai has designated select beaches exclusively for families and even announced a free ice cream giveaway at public parks for Eid al-Adha celebrations. As it happens, live entertainment events will be happening across the city during the long holiday. Yes, it also mentioned how the Dubai Municipality on Thursday, May 21st announced that Jumeirah 1, Jumeirah 2 and its night beach, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1 and its night beach, Umm Suqeim 2, and Khor Al Mamzar Beach will be family-only zones during Eid al-Fitr.

Complimentary Ice Cream To Be Given

As it happens, these would offer a mix of daytime, relaxation, and vibrant evening atmosphere, which would be along the waterfront of Dubai. As it happens, there are several parks across the emirates, which will be hosting the Eid gifts initiative. It will be happening on the first and second days of Eid, with complimentary ice cream given to visitors between 4 PM and 7 PM. This will be at Al Barsha Pond Park, community parks, Zabeel Park, Creek Park, Mushrif Park, and Al Safa Park.

Live Music Performances Planned At Dubai Frame

Not only this, but there are even live musical performances planned for the Dubai Frame. It will also be happening on the first and second day of Eid between 4 PM and 7 PM. It will be blending music and family entertainment with panoramic city views. The market will also be welcoming the Al Harbiya band, which will be on the second day of Eid between 4 PM and 10 PM. There will also be additional performances, which will celebrate local heritage. Children’s City will also run its entertainment programme, which will be across the three days of Eid. This will be from 9 AM to 8 PM, and would feature theatre shows, interactive activities, workshops, family experiences, and character appearances.

Park Timings Revealed

Dubai Municipality recently announced the operating hours for the holiday period. Yes, it will be open from 8 AM until midnight, and this is valid for the following public spaces:

  • Quranic Park
  • Zabeel Park
  • Al Mamzar Park
  • Al Safa Park
  • Creek Park
  • Mushrif National Park

However, it’s worth mentioning that the Dubai Frame will be open from 8 PM to 9 PM.

Dubai Municipality Carries Out Inspections


Not only celebrations, but the Dubai Municipality also announced how it has been carrying out inspections across food establishments and event locations. These have been carried across major shopping malls, temporary kiosks, seasonal outlets and even entertainment venues. Moreover, specialised teams have also been operating around the clock on all the land, sea and entry points to inspect imported food.

With the municipality on its toes, ensuring no health violations take place, one is bound to have a fantastic celebration.
