1. Dubai RTA Opens New Vehicle Tunnel
As part of the Oud Metha Road and Al Asayel Street Development Project, RTA has opened a new vehicle tunnel connecting traffic flow from Dubai–Al Ain Road to the Oud Metha Service Road, helping reduce traffic weaving and improve traffic flow along the route.

Recently, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority opened a new vehicle tunnel. It would connect Dubai–Al Ain Road with Oud Metha Service Road. It is a part of the Oud Metha Service Road and the Al Asayel Street Development Project. This is a 260 m long tunnel, and it has a capacity of up to 1200 vehicles per hour. As it happens, the tunnel has been designed in such a way that it would reduce traffic overlap and weaving along the route.
2. Heavy Rains And Hail Pass Through Parts Of The UAE
As unstable weather continued to affect the country, heavy rain and hail passed through several parts of the UAE on Sunday. This brought a long thunderstorm, strong winds and blowing dust. Parts of Sharjah, Dubai, Al Dhafra, and Al Ain were affected. There was even hail that was reported in the Mahafiz area of Sharjah
3. UAE President Visits Abu Dhabi Shopping Mall
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, was seen leaving shoppers pleasantly surprised as he dropped by The Galleria Al Maryah Island. It is one of the busiest shopping destinations in Abu Dhabi, and he was seen walking through the mall along with a group of senior officials. The video of him taking a stroll in the mall has been widely shared on social media. Many were seen praising the president’s humility and his close engagement with the public.

4. Food Security Forum & Exhibition To Be Hosted In Salalah In August
The Food Security Forum & Exhibition 2026 will be taking place in Wilayat of Salalah on August 10th. It is a part of the certain effort to strengthen food security. Not to mention, it also aims to track investment and promote sustainable growth in agricultural and food sectors. The event also aims to support the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. 5. Accessibility & Multilingual Services Improved At Prophet’s Mosque
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has improved the services at Prophet’s Mosque. Yes, this has been enhanced to improve visitor comfort and accessibility, as revealed by the SPA. The key initiatives are adapted facilities for the elderly and people with disabilities. This also includes comprehensive guidance centres, dedicated children’s nurseries for supporting families and multilingual translation.
