Dubai is preparing to host the airline giants once again. Dubai World Trade Centre will host the 25th Airport Show from May 12th to 14th, 2026. It is not only another show, but it also indicates the pace at which global air travel is changing and the seriousness with which the region is taking the future of aviation.
Dubai To Host 25th Airport Show In May 2026
This three-day affair, as reported by Gulf News, will draw together aviation executives, tech vendors and airport proprietors worldwide, and all are aimed at smarter, safer and more efficient skies.
What’s Different This Year?
This year is not only about flashy displays but about addressing practical issues. Airports are receiving increased passenger numbers, reduced schedules, and increased safety demands. The exhibition will also feature next-gen ATM and ATC systems designed to serve Air Navigation Service Providers and airport operators.
There will be over 150 exhibitors representing over 30 countries, as well as 7,000-plus visitors and 120 buyers on site. The scale makes it one of the largest airport industry events in this region.
Smart Skies Are A Mandate Now!
The number of passengers is increasing rapidly. World air travel is projected to reach 5.2 billion passengers in 2026 and astounding 17.7 billion in 2043. The number of aircraft movements could go to 149 million by that time. In the Middle East alone, the projection is to exceed 240 million passengers by the year 2026.
To stay up-to-date with this, airports are exploring the application of digital solutions based on AI, machine learning, and data analytics. The tools are used to control the aircraft separation, anticipate traffic movements, and enhance real-time safety. The Middle East, with approximately 110 airports and some of the busiest air corridors in the world, is emerging as an experimental region of high-level aviation technology.
Supported By Leadership That Are Industry Experts
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the Chairman of Dubai Airports, will be a patron of the Airport Show 2026. His endorsement demonstrates Dubai has always had a long-term interest in remaining a global aviation hub, not only in terms of the number of people that it hosts but also in terms of its innovation and operational prowess.

There will also be various high-profile conferences alongside the main show. These are the Global Airport Leaders Forum, Airport Security Middle East, the ATC Forum (in its 9th edition) and the Women in Aviation Middle East Conference. Collectively, they provide a platform of strategy, debate, and new approaches to the future of the industry.
