Dubai To Soon Launch Drone Delivery To Beaches & Parks; Details Inside

Dubai Municipality recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with Keeta Drone. As revealed on X by the authority, this aims to establish a drone delivery network across a few public parks and beaches. Here’s everything you need to know about this major development coming in from the emirate.

As revealed by the Dubai Media Office, Dubai Municipality, and Keeta Drone have partnered to establish drone delivery services. This would reinforce the emirate’s leadership, innovation, smart mobility and future-ready urban experiences. This network expands across select public parks and beaches. Not to mention, it would also enhance visitor services across the public spaces. This would be done through faster and more seamless access to food, beverages, and essential goods.

What Does Partnership Mean?

Coming to an agreement, the two of them will be partnering on developing and testing drone delivery routes. This will be within public facilities and includes parks and beaches. Not to mention, suitable locations will be identified to serve as launch points. Additionally, there will also be collection points for aerial deliveries. The partnership would explore wider integration of logistics technologies into daily public spaces. Not to mention, it would also assess opportunities for developing infrastructure. It is expected that the first pilot activation may begin later this year. This would be across select parks and beaches, and would be a part of a phased city-wide rollout.

What Will They Do?

Keeta Drone is going to an overseas technical assessment of the proposed site, design aerial routes, submit performance evaluation and technical reports, and conduct operational trials. On the other hand, the Dubai Municipality will be facilitating suitable locations within the public spaces. These would be for studies and pilot operations and would also provide operational coordination in line with the urban planning regulations.

So, with drone deliveries coming soon to public beaches and parks, it is expected that the first activation may take place later this year.
